Categories of Membership
MOS has over 140 members comprised of oncologists, physicians, nurses and other health professionals
involved in the field of oncology.
There shall be five categories of membership:
Life, Ordinary, Associate, Institutional and Honorary
Life & Ordinary Membership shall be open to medical practitioners actively involved in the practice
of Oncology.
Associate Membership shall be open to registered medical disciplines who express an interest in the
science and practice of Oncology.
Honorary Membership shall be conferred to distinguish people at the discretion of the Executive
Committee and shall be approved by at least two-third of registered full members present at an Annual
General Meeting of the Society.
Institutional Life Membership shall be open to any person or Institution who donates not less than
RM500.00 or in the case of Institution who donates not less than RM3000.00 shall be deemed to be
Institutional Life Members of the Society.
Membership - Life, Ordinary or Associate shall be decided by thee Executive Committee on written
application by the members on prescribed forms. The decision of the Executive Committee shall be
final on membership to the Society.
